Vets Helping Vets is an organization to assist veterans. Vets Helping Vets was organized and is under the direction of Thomas J. Hughes. We are a 501c3 non-profit organization. Vets Helping Vets members are all registered volunteers at the Waco Campus.

Vets Helping Vets would like to acknowledge their appreciation to the University High School Autism Unit for their help in the greenhouse.

These young men and women with the guidance of their teachers are doing an outstanding job assisting VHV with planting vegetables and flowers getting ready for spring.

The Vets Helping Vets volunteers at the sale Friday were Derrel Adams of Corsicana, Thomas Douglas of Coriscana and Henry Smith of Waco. Each of these volunteers sold, assisted and carried plants to the customers' vehicles.

The Vets Helping Vets members who worked on the greenhouse every Friday for the last three months getting it operational were:

William Devos from Corsicana - 10 Fridays
Henry Smith from Waco - 10 Fridays
Raymond Pragluski from Marlin - 4 Fridays
Ray Salazar from Waco - 1 Friday
Kenneth Burdwood from Clifton - 1 Friday
James Babb from Clifton - 1 Friday

Each of these VHV members made it possible to open the greenhouse and have the plant sale.  Most of the supplies were donated from VHV members.  VHV plans are to keep the greenhouse open and have a weekly plant sale.
